imagine the scene between katherine & elena would have ended with katherine closing her eyes, making the audience assume she‘s dead for good and cut. and then behind the scenes, katherine possesses elena and the audience doesn’t know a thing until the characters themselves start to figure it out. that would‘ve been a good plottwist imo.
