25 kwi 2011 · I've been using Mobile 1 since my 1k service. Thought about switching to Amsoil, but I have no complaints about Mobile 1. Mobil1 V-twin Full Synthetic was my choice, and would still be, if Amsoil was not cheaper to buy where I live. Thanks very much.
7 wrz 2005 · The only V-rod I have seen have a problem was one that came into my dealer's shop, a used rental bike that lost 3rd gear. When it broke, since the engine and the trans use the same oil sump (common) it took out the transmission AND the engine. It was like 6-7K to fix it.
The V-Rod definitely catches my eye and I’m interested in looking at it as a potential option. Just wondering what people’s opinions are on the V-Rod (year doesn’t matter). What are the pros and the cons of owning said bike?
My boss rides one and it's a pain in the ass to work on but seems to be pretty reliable. My dad has an 03 vrod with 60k+ miles on it and has never had any major issues and has done all the maintenance himself.
Looking to get between a 2003 -2010 V-Rod. Are there some pros and cons you can help me with? Any years I should stay away from? I'm a sucker for blue, but like the anniversary editions, and the blackouts. Always appreciate the input gentlemen.

10 lip 2013 · I've used Lucas 75-90 gear oil in all my old VW transaxles for years. It's the only thing that makes them quiet and shift smooth. Used to use M1 75-90 and the Lucas just blows it away in my application .
