Membership Information. The “Spirit of San Antonio” will perform a standard pre-game show, 4-5 different halftime shows, play a vast variety of stand tunes, maintain UTSA traditions, while at the same time promoting a positive learning and social environment for its members.

SOSA Marching Band a 330-member marching band and the largest ensemble at UTSA. Voted the #1 marching band by YourSA Reader’s Choice Awards, they proudly represent the university at UTSA athletic events, pep rallies, Fiesta parades, and many other events.

Membership Information. How to join SOSA Marching Band? Step 1: Register for the appropriate marching band course through the Registration module in your ASAP/myUTSA Account. Course numbers for reference are HERE. Step 2: Read Preseason Camp Information and Schedule HERE. Step 3: Fill out the Member Information Form HERE.
Many band members (even non-majors) do participate in both marching and concert bands simultaneously. Also, since the Wind Ensemble , Symphonic Band , and University Band are offered both semesters, there is the possibility of joining a concert band during the Fall Semester.
JULY 2, 2020 — Sharp orange and blue uniforms, rousing musical arrangements, fun choreography, and a fight song and alma mater that spark true spirit in the stadium—the UTSA marching band is the soundtrack to the student experience—and so much more.
