For a while USJA was allowing rank of sankyu and above. That's how I initially got my coaching cert years ago, but last I checked they rescinded that and they require shodan again. According to the form, I also need a coaching clinic, which I can't find any on the schedule near me.
Looking for advice on becoming a certified judo coach, I'm a member of USA Judo and USJA. Been on websites and can't find simple instructions. Longer version: I have done judo on and off for over 10 years.

The USJF National Coach Certification Course is presented in four modules; Module 1; Developing a Coaching Philisophy – A coaching philosophy should not be solely geared towards molding a judo tactician and technician, but more profoundly, crafting a “Champion of Character.”
National Coach and Elite Coach Certification. The USJF has approved this National certificated program as a means to develop the coaching effectiveness of the grassroots instructor up through to the Olympic/World level coach.
