23 kwi 2013 · There are several USB-based PCMCIA adapters on the market. A quick google search for external pcmcia usb adapter turns up a number of them. Amtron seems to offer a number of USB-based readers, including this one which looks to support a number of different card types.
14 kwi 2020 · You can have a USB controller that's a PCMCIA device (i.e. plugs into a PCMCIA slot), but you can't implement a PCMCIA slot with a USB device. (PCMCIA is older, and it's actually ISA-like rather than PCI, but the same principles apply.)

12 lip 2019 · Further to my previous question, I am wondering how best to connect an SCM Swapbox "SBI-D2P" (Classic X2) PCMCIA card reader to a modern PC (PCI/PCI Express/SATA/USB). I am aware there are USB PCMCIA readers, and in fact I have one also, but I want to use this Swapbox because it is nice.
23 cze 2006 · Can't you just plug a PCMCIA card or memory adapter into a CardBus slot on a notebook computer, transfer your file from USB flash drive to the CardBus device, and then put the PC Card back into your machine? You can get adapters from CardBus to many memory types including CF, etc.
By default Windows 2000/XP and Server 2003 install USBSTOR.SYS driver to support USB-2-PCMCIA adapter. Therefore after installation of CardWare you need to modify driver assignment manually. After CardWare installation and system restart, please connect the USB-2-PCMCIA adapter to your system.
