Usb 2.0 has a latency of about 125 microseconds. Unlike 2.0, usb 3.0 is not a shared-bus system. Instead it uses a point-to-point link between the host and each device which can help decrease the latency by a significant amount (in terms of multiples, still not noticeable at all).
20 lis 2019 · I think at least USB 2.0 is required for 1000 Hz. 7 ms is not much of a difference. The actual time it takes for a signal to travel from the mouse through the hub and to the computer is likely less than 0.1 ms.
23 cze 2021 · I measure the system latency and then swap from the USB 3.2 Gen 2 to the USB 2.0 port. I also did the same on my gaming PC. Here’s an MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon installed, then let’s see what the motherboard looks like.

USB 3 is MUCH faster than USB 2, plus USB 3 can even do asynchronous polling - not that it matters much, because mice use VERY LITTLE bandwidth. Second, there is absolutely NO WAY IN HELL that you can actually "feel" a difference.
