Applying at the UofA's medical school, and was wondering what you folks thought of this application. I am an in-province applicant. I will also be applying for other schools, but UofA is my main school due to it being near a lot of my family support. 3.85GPA, 511 MCAT.
Medical College Admission Test (MCAT): All applicants must take the MCAT and meet the minimum requirement for each section to be considered for admission. The MCAT is electronic and there are several writings throughout the year.
I am planning on applying for med school sometime in the future (still in highschool). I just wanted to get a sense of the level of competition involved in getting into med school. I am open to any school in Canada, but I prefer UofA since I live in the province.
7 kwi 2024 · The minimum medical school cGPA requirement of Albertan applicants is 3.3 on the UofA 4.0 grading scale. Out-of-province applicants must have at least 3.5 cGPA to be considered for the program.
