29 cze 2023 · The unemployment rate decreased to 6.4% and the labour underutilisation rate remained at 11.9% - May 2023. April 2023: • The active population (5,272.2 thousand) decreased from March 2023 (0.1%), having increased from January of the same year (0.1%) and from April 2022 (1.7%).
The unemployment rate was at its lowest level since 2002 (6.5 per cent). Real wages grew by 2.7 per cent in 2018 and 2.0 per cent in 2019, following a decade of near stagnation. The Gini index was 31.9 in 2018, down from 34.5 in 2013.
