This will be a comprehensive, step-by-step guide to Undertale's Genocide / No Mercy route. There are lots of guides to the No Mercy route you can find online , but most lack finer details and comprehensive explanations (even the ones that claim to cover such topics).
The Genocide Route occurs when the protagonist kills every enemy (including mini, mid and main bosses) in every region: the Ruins, Snowdin Forest, Waterfall, and Hotland (the CORE is a sub-region of Hotland). Starting in the Ruins, the protagonist repeatedly triggers encounters to kill all monsters.
1. Dark Ruins. Try to kill Decibat, as many Rorrims and Crispy Scrolls as possible for more EXP, don't exhaust the kill counter early. Reach the corn maze, make sure to retrieve the Pebble Ammo (+3 AT) by going around the maze and reaching the top left corner.
Before leaving the ruins, you want to make sure you have: 3 spider ciders (for the Undyne fight), Bscotch pie (for the Sans fight), knife/stick (to sell later), bandage/ribbon (to sell later). At first box you should put away everything and equip the tough glove.

After Toriel leaves, you can just walk in circles around the room to trigger fights. For a genocide playthrough, you need to kill all the monsters in every area.
