Medium sized, modern Japanese restaurant in San Marcos near CSUSM. Sushi was actually very good, nice generous cuts of fish that tasted fresh and legit. Well made sushi and well rolled cut rolls.
8 lis 2018 · Our new favorite Sushi restaurant in San Marcos. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is very pleasant and the food is great. We stopped in on a Saturday for dinner and came back the next day because we liked it so much.

Umami Sushi specializes in Japanese cuisine with a touch of Korean dishes.… Do they have a kids menu? I've seen kids in there on a couple occasions, but I've never seen a kids' section on the menu. The perfect hole in the wall sushi spot! Such a hidden gem in the heart of San Mar!

Nice little sushi spot near the college in San Marcos. Parking was a bit of a challenge due to the Tuesday farmer's market, but otherwise plentiful. We ordered the Spicy Lemon roll at $16 and the Toro roll at $23. The rolls were fresh and delicious, but I feel like they are only a moderate value for their price point.
