Work-study is awarded by the Financial Aid Office as part of your financial aid package. It allows you to earn money for your educational expenses. Work-study is paid through the bi-weekly payroll process, and does not credit your student account.

The Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program provides jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. The program encourages community service work and work related to your course of study.
Last years work study won’t apply for the coming fall. You probably shouldn’t get work study depending on how much they awarded you. Your employer will also see how much they gave you and tell you if it’s worth it to apply with work study.
