To run the Tuva Project on a new data source you need to map that data to the Tuva input layer. Once this is done, the Tuva Project (which is a dbt package) will be able to call the input layer tables using ref statements and build the Tuva data model on your data.
The Tuva Core Data Model is a common data model designed for claims and clinical healthcare data. A common data model creates a foundation that analytics can be built on top of. With a common data model all your data sources are in a common format (i.e. standard set of data tables).
By open-sourcing these tools, we aim to: Enable healthcare data teams to re-allocate their time and resources away from re-inventing these tools and instead focus on solving more complex problems. Build the best set of tools possible by crowdsourcing improvements from across the industry.
