'White Swan'; [1] NATO reporting name: Blackjack) is a supersonic, variable-sweep wing nuclear-capable heavy strategic bomber and airborne missile platform designed by the Tupolev Design Bureau in the Soviet Union in the 1970s.
The Tupolev Tu-160 Blackjack is a supersonic, variable-sweep wing heavy strategic bomber and missile platform. It was the largest combat aircraft in the world until surpassed by the Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit stealth bomber in 1989.
28 lut 2022 · November 2017 - Tupolev has revealed its first refurbished Tu-160 bomber at its Kazan Aviation facility. A first-flight is scheduled for sometime in 2018. These will be designated as Tu-160M2 to mark the new standard and some fifty will be purchased by the Russian Air Force.
