The negative reviews regarding the realtors on their site are censored. When you write a negative review about a realtor on there, the review is heavily scrutinized to the point of being taken down or just not even posted at all.

Anytime someone asks for a deposit to view the apartment, do not send them money! Even if it’s listed on a reputable site like Redfin or apartments.com.
Renter beware. Be vigilant in protecting your private information and review these tips: Trulia has no involvement in any transactions, showings, agreements, or inspections. The easiest sign of a rental scam is when someone asks you to wire money via Western Union, Moneygram, or Prepaid Visa card.
If it looks too good to be true, it's a scam. Made that mistake when I was apartment hunting. Just report it and Trulia will remove it. It's not just Trulia, either. I know Zillow has the same problem.
