Just like the tires for your trailer, the combined load capacity of your wheels should at least match the loaded weight of your trailer. Ideally though they will have a larger combined capacity than your trailer weight to provide a nice safety margin.
20 mar 2005 · To be simple, let's say the requirement is 4k lbs per tire. Going through the major manufacturers catalogs, I see that there are two sizes that almost everyone makes in high load (129 load index - 4080lbs). They are LT295/70R18 and LT295/65R20.
21 wrz 2004 · My 12,500 lbs 5ver with pin weight around 2500lbs puts me right at the 6084 lbs tire rating. I want to upgrade to 265's to get the axil rating up to 6830 lbs, but still not sure about the OEM 6.5 rim weight rating, and no tire manufacturer reccommends 265's on 6.5 rims.
2 lis 2023 · For trailer tires (ST or Special Trailer tires), the general weight capacities for common load ranges are as follows: Load Range B: Typically up to 1,100 to 1,520 lbs per tire at maximum inflation. Load Range C: Typically up to 1,760 to 2,270 lbs per tire at maximum inflation.
The problem with using the bolt pattern to tell the axle capacity is that an axle may have the a bolt pattern that could be more than one weight capacity. The easiest would be to look on the trailer VIN plate or sticker that lists the VIN number.
