15 maj 2012 · If you decide to go with the Smart Tabs, I recommend going with the stainless steel tabs rather than the composite tabs. I did a fair amount of research, and the only reported problems were with the composite tabs occasionally breaking.
12 paź 2016 · If the trim tabs are Bennetts, and if they are transom mounted, it is a simple fix and yes the boat needs to be hauled. The plastic ram is threaded to receive two stainless machine screws that pass through the trim tab brace.
29 kwi 2023 · For your boat and speed the tabs do not need to be parallel with the bottom. They should be mounted 1/2 to 3/4 inch above the bottom and that might be enough to make up for difference in height as shown in the image.
27 gru 2010 · Properly sized trim tabs improve the performance of your boat in a much wider range of weight, weather and water conditions. The purpose of trim tabs is to recreate your ideal running attitude, even on a rough day. Think ailerons and elevators on an airplane.

16 sie 2014 · I have to use my trim tabs quite a lot, they are used for keeping the boat level across the beam, however on my boat I have to use them as well to assist in getting on the plane especially if I have weight on the boat. By using the trim tabs, it raises the rear of the boat out of the water.
17 sty 2022 · The trim tabs keep the bow down, making piloting the boat much much easier without sacrificing off of the top end speed. We run about 52mph on the river, and she handles amazingly. These trim tabs are self leveling; no remote adjustments.
