20 mar 2022 · When you receive your patriarchal blessing, the patriarch, through inspiration, will declare your tribal lineage. It’s not like a DNA test—your tribe isn’t necessarily related to race or nationality. Instead, it’s related to a set of spiritual responsibilities and promised blessings.
4 mar 2013 · Like Ephraim’s descendants, the tribe of Manasseh is heir to all the blessings and obligations given to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. A study of those patriarchs will show that regardless of which tribe you fall in, your blessing is bounteous.

3 lis 2023 · In order for a member of the Church to discover which tribe he belongs to, he must apply for patriarchal blessing. Most of those who enter Abraham’s family are also adopted by some tribe of Israel, although Abraham had other descendants, such as the twelve sons of Ishmael.
In my office and calling as a stake patriarch, I am honored to bestow patriarchal blessings upon members of the Church. One of the reasons we are given a patriarchal blessing is to know through which tribe of Israel we will be receiving our blessings in this life.
