Challenges are special game modes that varies in difficulty and conditions, such as, specific towers, limited upgrades, specific maps, and specific wave start and end. There are two different challenges available to each player which are Simple and Advanced.
But honestly its not as epic shit as it was pre-freezer rework (meaning before the winter-construct event ended, which was beamer's prime.) now its just above average imo. the initial damage nerf and supercombine being increased to 60 pellets just didn't bode well.
