Maps are one of the main features of the game. There are three difficulties of maps: Easy, Normal and Hard. All of them are different from each other in theme, path layout and style.
Once players lose or triumph a round, they gain EXP and Tokens. Tokens can be used to buy skincrates and other towers, and EXP are automatically used for leveling up. Those levels are required to unlock specific maps and towers.

Contracts are missions you can do in the game, they can be observed by clicking the button on the left hand side whilst in the lobby. Certain contracts may be affiliated with certain badges as well. They are split into three different categories, namely Maps, Solo and Rewards.
If you load this on a map viewer it is the most boring world in existence. This does, however, make it a perfect place to design a dungeon, play with wiring systems and traps, or test different combinations of building materials to find a selection you like the look of.
