PURCHASE ADVICE. I haven't been able to find much on this, but I'm looking at purchasing a Tokyo Marui G17. I'm stuck between a Gen 3 and Gen 4. I see more parts available for the Gen 3 but the Gen 4 has some updated internals.
If I had the choice, it would personally be VFC for the metal slide. But accuracy, range, gas efficiency: the TM wins. Gen 2 has no rail and no finger grooves, Gen 3 has finger grooves with rail and gen2 style grip pannels. Gen 4 has stipples style grip pannels with a larger mag release.

9 sie 2018 · There are longer 50 round magazines that replicate the 33 round “Joker” mags made by Tokyo Marui but I’ve personally found them a little bulky and prone to light striking issues in warm weather due to the internal pressure with Green Gas.

This Gen5 beast boasts a red dot sight-ready slide, enhanced recoil from a beefed-up cylinder, and Gen5 upgrades like ambidextrous controls and a grip that fits like a glove.
13 paź 2020 · But… It is an easy to shoot and ultimately, reliable pistol and that’s likely the key reason as to it’s success. Putting how boring Glocks are aside, the Glock 17 Gen 4 is an unusual choice to make into an airsoft replica. Especially when you consider that Glock has already moved on to a 5th generation model, it feels a little… Outdated.

"Glock's latest generation Generation 5 is now available as a gas gun from Tokyo Marui. It reproduces the MOS (Modular Optic System) and can be equipped with a microprosight at the top of the slide.
