This whole thing smells of a very elaborate scam, complete with threatening to hold me to Title 18 Sec 1501, which is for an assault on a process server?! They claimed they attempted to serve me in person at the address i was living at in the initial suit frpm 2007 and also claimed they mailed me at my current address in Florida 45 days ago.

Not being home to accept service of legal process is not a crime nor would you be prosecuted for their inability to locate and serve you, or your refusal to respond to their communications. That part of the text is simply scare tactics with no legal support behind it.
10 paź 2023 · Calling the number that left a voicemail was different and a local number and looking it up stated it was a cell phone located in my town where I reside. No answer to the phone and it goes to voicemail. I occasionally will call what are clearly scams and leave a Caller ID that looks local, but when you call it it's not even a working number.
10 lut 2014 · This sounds like a major scam. I agree with my colleagues that, for any legal action to be initiated against you, you must be properly served. Leaving a phone message or even talking with you in person on the telephone is not proper service.
28 maj 2024 · Is this a real thing? I'm not aware of any court case against me, and I don't want to call back if it's a scam but also don't want to get in trouble if it's not. The caller showed up as from Morgantown, WV, and the phone number they left to return the call was (866) 900-0258.
