Part of the soleus muscle arises from this line, which extends inferomedial before merging with the tibia’s medial border.
The tuberosity of the tibia typically presents as a roughened protrusion on the anterior surface of the proximal tibia. Its more proximal half is usually smooth where the patellar ligament attaches. The distal half of this bump is rough and occupies a subcutaneous position.
