30 paź 2023 · The tibial tuberosity is a large broad protrusion located on the anterior surface of the proximal tibia. It can easily be palpated as the protrusion located just inferior to the patella. Overlying the tibial tuberosity is the subcutaneous infrapatellar bursa.
A simple method to rapidly assess the tibial tuberosity-trochlear groove distance using computed tomography
The tibial tuberosity is a bony prominence located on the anterior aspect of the upper end of the tibia. It acts as a boundary for the intercondylar area in the anterior direction and marks the starting point of the tibia's anterior border. The tibial tuberosity can be divided into two parts: an upper smooth portion and a lower rough portion ...
21 sty 2024 · The patellar ligament’s attachment location, the tibial tuberosity, denotes the proximal side of the anterior border. The sole line, a bone ridge, denotes the posterior surface. Part of the soleus muscle arises from this line, which extends inferomedial before merging with the tibia’s medial border.
The tuberosity of the tibia typically presents as a roughened protrusion on the anterior surface of the proximal tibia. Its more proximal half is usually smooth where the patellar ligament attaches. The distal half of this bump is rough and occupies a subcutaneous position.
The tibial tuberosity is an extension of the proximal tibial physis, which is initially composed of epiphyseal cartilage and with maturation, the ossification center converts fibrocartilage to the weaker columnar cartilage.
30 cze 2020 · The proximal aspect of the anterior border is marked by the tibial tuberosity; the attachment site for the patella ligament. Posterior surface – marked by a ridge of bone known as soleal line. This line is the site of origin for part of the soleus muscle, and extends inferomedially, eventually blending with the medial border of the tibia.
