9 gru 2022 · Sims 4 won't start due to graphics card error. Using a GTX 1080 card and I'm usually able to run many heftier requirement games. Triple checked that it's using the latest drivers. 21 cze 2023 · Here is some help I have collected (hope it will be of some help to someone): To clear cache in Sims 4, you need to123: Go to Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/ on your PC or Mac. Delete the localthumbscache.package file from this folder.
Problem: When I try to load into any game with Oculus link, Steamvr opens and says "waiting" or "next up" depending on how I opened it, from the Steam home (Steam home opens with no problem) or the steam library. Additionally, the Steamvr app on the computer says "Wrong Video Card".
Checking steamvr, i noticed it had a popup saying "Headset plugged into wrong video card". I went through a million forums, and they all ended with someone saying to set the steamvr game to use the high performance GPU using the nvidia control panel/windows graphics settings.
I've gotten it to work on this laptop in the past so I'm confident this is fixable. I've tried all the solutions I've found online which include: Updating the display drivers. Changing the game files to automatically use the GPU display. Changing SteamVR to automatically use the GPU display.
If that doesn't help either, please make sure the game is actually using the Nvidia card. Go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, open Config.log, scroll down about 30 lines, and you should see the RTX 4070. If you see anything else, please list it for me. Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
