17 lut 2011 · The Motley Fool is generally regarded as legit, at least in that they're not likely to do anything outright fraudulent and they definitely have reasonably in-depth content to provide you. The Motley Fool makes a fair amount of money off the subscriptions, though, and they do hawk them quite aggressively.
The majority of Reddit hates The Motley Fool. I feel that it’s justified, given their clickbait titles or “5 can't miss stocks of the century” or turning 1,000 into 100,000 posts designed just to drive traffic to their website. Another Redditor summed it up perfectly with this,

Motley fool stock advisor cost me 40 percent of my entire life savings (well my recklessness also played a small part). It does amazing in a bull market but I’d say most of the stocks it recommended last year are now down 50-75 percent.
