Syndrome (real name Buddy Pine) is the main antagonist of the 2004 Disney•Pixar animated film The Incredibles. He originally wanted to be a sidekick to his then-idol Mr. Incredible as Incrediboy. However, Mr. Incredible had no interest in such a concept and considered it risky behavior.

Syndrome definitely has all the trappings of a super villain: a secret island fortress, a host of masked henchman, plans of world domination, etc., but his origins and intentions are not truly villainous nor deserving of the gruesome dispatch that he receives at the end. Yes, he was entrapping and murdering supers. Yes, he did try to kill children.
