Refund difference after price drop? UPDATE: I called Tesla first thing this morning and they are refunding me the difference! SUMMARY: Order incomplete, want price drop refunded, best approach? So I ordered a model 3 on January 6th and have been waiting almost 5 full months for delivery.
The simple fact is Tesla has really screwed up on their pricing model. Gradual increases and decreases in price are okay and expected. A car sudden being $20,000 cheaper is not.

29 kwi 2024 · Will Amazon give you a price drop refund or price adjustment now that the price has changed? Well, not exactly. Amazon used to offer this to customers, but now, the only way to get a refund is to return the item altogether.
I purchased FSD days before the price dropped as a last minute price drop to push for the quarter. Requested that they refund the difference as we were promised the price would be going up, not down in a couple weeks and was told sorry no dice.
17 mar 2019 · You're always within your right to ask Tesla, but they're not obligated to issue a refund or compensation. Why did you end your trial 2 weeks early? If you were happy with the product, and happy paying $3,500 for it 2 weeks before you needed to, there's no reason to be unhappy now.
19 kwi 2023 · The Previous drop in the last few weeks has changed the down payment and monthly automatically. Am I out of luck here to save $50ish per month and $500+ in down payment without just flat out refusing delivery?
