13 lip 2021 · FWIW there is a way to test lead acid 12v batteries that are not sealed by using a battery hydrometer to test each battery cell. If after three years one of the cells is not accepting a full charge then it is time to replace the battery. If the battery is sealed then the only way to test it is to put a load test on it.
6 wrz 2023 · Before installing the new 12V battery, make sure that the new battery's Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) is above 12.6V. If the OCV is between 12.4V and 12.6V, recharge the new battery. Any battery below 12.4V must be discarded.

26 lip 2021 · The current Model 3, Model Y 12V battery is a sealed maintenance free (MF), deep cycle, flooded lead acid battery. The battery has a rated capacity of 45Ah, i.e. should be capable of delivering 1 amp into a load for 45 hours or 2 amps into a load for 22.5 hours, etc.
My 2020 model Y is coming up on it to your birthday and I’m thinking about replacing the 12 V battery before I have a problem. I know that they have lithium options now and while they last longer the price differential doesn’t seem to be worthwhile… if and $85 battery lasts two years why buy a $500 battery that lasts five years?
