25 maj 2021 · Slime Staff is an early Pre-HM Pre-boss weapon, Pirate Staff is a Pre-mech weapon. At least I think Slime Staff is slightly better than Finch Staff from what I experienced. It can do alright while you're grinding for Flinx Staff. It's useable against King Slime as well, maybe against Eater of Worlds as well? Pirate Staff is just depressing.

The Optic Staff is a Hardmode summon weapon that summons a miniature version of The Twins in their second form, which follow the player and attack enemies. The summoned pair of minions, named Spazmamini and Retinamini, deal damage with a ramming attack and ranged laser attack, respectively.
Pirate Staff - It’s a good minion, and I highly recommend it against crowds or ground targets. Good AI, good damage, and good consistency against things it can reach.
I want to know if I should upgrade from the Optic Staff to something better (pre-Pumpkin Moon and Fishron summoning equipment). Which Staff do you prefer and why? Pygmy, Optic, or Pirate?
Larvi22. • 4 yr. ago. From my experience, blade staff needs work to be better. As in both +5 piercing accessories then it begins to stack up to some of the hardmode summons. Whereas the optic staff has more minions and probable better damage potential.
5 cze 2016 · Optic staff by a long shot. And for that reason too. Pirates are melee users. Optic is ranged and melee. 2 for one deal. It does higher damage faster
