All you need to provide to the DVLA when telling them you've sold your car is the car's registration number, the V5C document reference number, and the date of the sale. You'll also need to enter your email address so they can send you a confirmation that they received your notification.
Visit the DVLA's official website and navigate to the "Tell DVLA you've sold, transferred or bought a vehicle" section. Provide the necessary information about the vehicle, including its registration number and VIN. Verify the details to ensure accuracy. Enter the date of sale and the new keeper's details as provided in section 6 of the V5C.
