Trail maps are available by region or by North or South Island. We update our maps each year in August so it’s best to wait until then if you plan to print these.

29 cze 2024 · The South Island leg of the Te Araroa trail begins at Ship Cove (the northernmost point of the Queen Charlotte Track) and makes its way 1,300km south to Stirling Point in Bluff. Start with 4-5 days cove-hopping on the Queen Charlotte Track before heading inland down the Pelorus River.

16 lis 2020 · This 3,000.0 km route stretches from Cape Reinga in the North Island to Bluff, located on the tip of the South Island. The Te Araroa is one of the world’s newest long-distance hiking trails, opening on December 3rd, 2011 and takes on average a whopping four to six months to walk in its entirety.

Northland: The trail begins at Cape Reinga, offering dramatic coastal scenery where the Tasman Sea meets the Pacific Ocean.
