To become certified for the VITA/TCE Programs, you must first self-register in the VITA/TCE Central testing system (your Practice Lab username and password will not work on the certification test site):
The Advanced certification path is designed for new volunteers who will serve customers with return preparation needs across the full VITA/TCE spectrum. It covers all tax topics in the Basic course plus pension topics and issues related to stock and sale of home for individuals and families.
OUR PRACTICE VERSION OF oNLINE SOFTWARE. Practice Lab is available 24/7-365 so you can go in and get used to the software, enter scenarios for fun or to enter scenarios for the certification tests. There are a few ways to access the practice lab.
