The 608 felt (subjectively) the same as the S&W. The Python locked up like a bank vault, tighter than either the Smith or Taurus, but for the price, it had better. The Taurus costs several hundred dollars less than similar S&W models, and as far as I can tell, they’re comparable in most ways.
