28 maj 2014 · According to Taramps, 130acv is the sweet spot on this amp. And that looks to be just about right according to the amp monitor that was included with the 8k. The scope agrees. That "clip" light isn't just on/off. The worse the clipping gets, the brighter it gets.

I also should mention I run each amp at 1.5 ohm, the amps are the Two ohm version. Now, the drive down to Indiapolois is about 5 hours long.

2 wrz 2019 · I am working with an HD 8000 taramp that works well, but when the volume goes up it is protected. Check the voltage across the speaker terminals. It should be zero or very close to zero. Check the voltage between the ground terminal and each speaker terminal. Each one should be half the rail voltage.
Rated power measured according to DIN 45500 up to 1% distortion factor in 13,5V. no low-pass filter at the output. Measured up to the clipping limit (illumination of the device-internal LED) at 100 Hz. 2-ohm operation not measured due to low power supply (external)
