The Tamron 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC Lens is a "DI II" lens, which means it delivers an image circle designed to cover an APS-C (1.6x FOVCF) sensor. Unlike Canon EF-S Lenses, the Tamron 18-270 will actually mount to a full frame body, but there is significant vignetting.

17 gru 2008 · Jeszcze niedawno ekscytowaliśmy się wprowadzeniem na rynek obiektywów 18-200 mm, potem przyszedł czas na 18-250 mm, a teraz wszystkich zdetronizował nowy Tamron, który daje nam zakres 18-270 mm czyli zoom aż 15-krotny.
28 cze 2013 · The Tamron 18-270 mm VC shows a pattern characteristic for super zoom lenses of visible barrel distortion at 18 mm, that somewhere around 28 mm becomes visible pincushion distortion at all focal lengths larger than 50 mm.
Vignetting remains very well controlled on the Canon APS-C sensor. Still, some other aspects could have been improved on the new version: the Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD gives us a slower transmission speed and it has a slightly higher distorsion.
