The Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) test is used as the assessment to meet the Basic Skills Requirement for placement for Postsecondary Adult Vocational (PSAV) and Applied Technology Diploma (ATD) Students per Florida State Board of Education Administrative Rule, Chapter 6A-10.040.

The Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) assessment is an academic assessment that measures the skills and knowledge of adult learners in the areas of reading, mathematics, and language. A Preparing for the TABE (PDF) brochure is provided by the State of Florida for students and educators.
To take the TABE exam, you must meet with an advisor before you schedule an appointment. Once you have met with an advisor, please contact your desired testing location to determine their specific TABE testing times and to schedule your appointment.
