8 maj 2017 · Modern Japanese Pottery and Porcelain Marks (窯印): Takahashi San Francisco-Importer of Japanese wares. You are invited to come along with me as I learn about Japanese ceramics. Takahashi Company; San Francisco based import company selling wares from various factories. Some pieces are correctly marked as to their producer and beside that, carry a label saying 'Takahashi' (Import Co). 67. Seal reading Takahashi Shokai (shokai also means company). Late 20th century.
It is decorated with blossoms (cherry?) and branches on a yellow background, with a green base. T are two images of birds on opposite sides. The top has a white background with blue scrollwork and blue flowers. The rim is encircled in gold. The condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or stains.

Takahashi was a San Francisco Import firm that imported the very best from Japan and the Orient. These items were sold in the fine department stores of the US. This is a small platter in blue and white that is marked with the Japanese makers mark and has a foil label of Takahashi.
11 lip 2017 · I love these little mid century Japanese vases! Especially beautiful are the earth tone styles and colors so popular in 1960s-70s decor. They look great displayed together on a tray or windowsill.
