SWISS-MODEL includes the SWISS-MODEL Repository and the SWISS-MODEL Workspace. It is the automated protein structure homology-modelling platform for generating 3D models of a protein using a comparative approach, and database of annotated models for key reference proteomes based on UniProtKB.
Homology modelling aims to build three-dimensional protein structure models using experimentally determined structures of related family members as templates. SWISS-MODEL workspace is an integrated Web-based modelling expert system.
SWISS-MODEL projects can be started from the command line, or using an interactive user-interface such as Swagger UI or Core API. If you are using the coreapi auto-generated code snippets, you will need to add authentication to start a modelling project. You will find detailed help here.
SWISS-MODEL Repository is a database of protein structure homology models generated by the fully automated SWISS-MODEL modelling pipeline. 💡 SWISS-MODEL Repository currently provides models for the reference proteomes of 13 model organisms.
