11 lut 2023 · I've been looking at the wiring diagrams and read a bit on how the low voltage system works. Connecting to the low voltage line under the rear seat (penthouse) is risky. There is no overload or short circuit protection there. If there is short or overload you are looking at a very expensive repair.
21 sty 2023 · It was removed and I replaced it with a custom 1.75cf sealed subwoofer enclosure that holds Four 8" subwoofers firing forward (0.44cf sealed each). The four 8" subs are about the Sd equivalent of a single 15"-18" sub.

It could be additive but you’d likely run into phasing issues so best to replace. I cut wires to sub and fed into my subwoofer/amp instead. I agree on mids and highs. Not sure if I’ll do it... while a properly amplified component speaker upgrade would be great... the OEM is pretty damn good as is.
Other than that I purchased a wiring kit and I already had a pre-existing amp and enclosure from my previous car. The most difficult part of this was figuring out which wires were the speaker wires. I had to take apart the doors and the paneling in the front footwells to do this.

14 maj 2023 · Here is a wiring diagram i created to digest it all. The brown wire in the center console is hidden behind the rear hvac vent, there are two sets of wires back there: one for the usb ports, and the other for the light sensor for the light inside the center console.
