31 sty 2018 · After three weeks and about 500 miles…the passenger valve cover has not leaked a drop of oil…! Note that this was done on the 3.0L H-6…but it should be just as effective on the four cylinder engines. Just be sure to place the shim underneath the flange washer of the shoulder bolt.
21 lip 2010 · Any valve cover gasket kit you get should also come with new gaskets for the plugs AND the bolts. Replace them all, use some black permatex, let dry and install. I did both sides of my valve covers 2 months ago and not a drop of oil has been lost since then.

22 kwi 2020 · I used some petroleum jelly to hold the new gasket in the valve cover and replaced the spark plug tube seals. This engine does not have bolt seals and all bolts are the same length. I don't have any leaks, but I'll edit this post if it does eventually leak.

16 sie 2020 · One connector - in the center for the coils, the four plug wires, five 10mm coil bracket hold downs (get the coil assy out first), the four 8mm (5/16") valve cover bolts, and the PCV hose, and she's off. Here's the shiny new one in place.
