SLOAN ESTATE. Originally part of the Sacrache Vineyard, SLOAN ESTATE is 40 hillside acres, planted to 13 acres of vines, primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon but also small amounts of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
Sloan Estate is a wine producer covering 16 hectares (40 acres) of Rutherford hillside in the Napa Valley. It produces just two wines, both from the classic Bordeaux blend – the flagship estate wine and the second wine, Asterisk.
SLOAN ESTATE, perched on the eastern hills of Rutherford across 40 spectacular acres, overlooks the Napa Valley floor at elevations ranging from 875 to 990 feet above sea level. The 13 acres under vine were planted in 1997 on a mineral-rich, porous soil of fractured volcanic rock and sandy loam.
