You can remove the Dropbox folders from your computer without deleting files; the folders you remove from your hard drive remain stored in your account on dropbox.com
19 maj 2021 · Open your Dropbox desktop app preferences. Click the Sync tab. Under Selective Sync, click Selective Sync… (as I use Windows). Check the folders you'd like saved on your hard drive. Uncheck the folders you'd like removed. Click Update. However, the unwanted folder keeps appearing and syncing many times! Anyone who could help! Thanks peter
31 mar 2021 · I have deleted the desktop app. If you don't want to sync files, don't install the Dropbox application and just use the website to manually upload and download files. With the application installed, Dropbox will sync any files you place in the Dropbox folder.

10 cze 2015 · Click the gear icon and select Pause syncing. You’ll see a pause icon over the Dropbox menu to show syncing has stopped. To start it again, follow the same steps and select Resume syncing.
