About Us. The story behind STEVENS STOMPERS ® is an American folk history, in and of itself. Walt Stevens had always loved clogging, so he and his wife Marti Stevens formed the Burlington County 4-H Cloggers in Mt. Holly, N.J. At the time the club began, clogging taps were made from cast aluminum.

Steven is a lifelong resident of Bladen County, N.C., an avid outdoorsman, a pipe fitter by trade, and an outstanding athlete. He began noticing symptoms in February 2012 and was diagnosed with ALS by a neurologist on April 30, 2012, at age 34.
