4 cze 2022 · so, my question is: if you support a guard skill with cast on damage taken, when you take a hit, does the buff affect that hit, or just subsequent hits? and what are the best support gems for a guard skill?
you need to take 5.2k damage, with a char that have over 5.2k life can use it to mitegate 3.6k further damage. Steelskin also have its inate cooldown of 3 seconds, and if you can get back over 5.2k life you should be able to proc it again.
I recommend you use it with cast when damage taken, the higher level the more damage it absorbs. but you need to make sure that whatever level it requires is = or under the level CWDT says. Ex: Lvl 15 CWDT This gem can only support skill gems requiring level 65 (to use) or lower.
CWDT Level 12 can NOT support Steelskin 17. Here is an updated chart. Made a quick chart over the different levels for cast when damage taken and steelskin so that I could choose where the best spot would be.
