I'm to the game back after quite a while and don't understand how Steelskin really works. Everytime I cast it, an icon appears for over a second and then nothing happens. How do I know it's working? How long does it last? I'm on Series X. Thanks in advance.
2 kwi 2020 · Steelskin is more effective at higher levels, but as LoTharios pointed out the HP threshold for a level 20 CWDT is high enough that some builds might not even have that many HP.
Flesh and Stone (sand stance for blind), immortal call (25%-34% less physical/elemental dmg taken), VMS/Molten Shell if you have alot of armor. Even for dodge based char, cwdt-phase run-immortal call is a good setup. I like using Steelskin linked with Empower and Increased Duration Support.
No, you don't want to run steelskin on cwdt. Steelskin needs high level preferably 20 or 21 to be good, unlike molten shell which is great even at level 1, since it scales flatly, each level is quite a bit stronger than before. Either left click and forget it, or use it manually with steelskin.
27 gru 2022 · Because Steelskin absorbs more total damage at higher levels, it is most effective at max level (20 or 21). Thus, it requires a high level CWDT setup to be effective. Higher level CWDT setups require you to take more damage in order to activate them, so they go off less frequently.
