29 mar 2021 · Like Steam phishing campaigns, this particular Steam scam—referred to loosely as the “I accidentally reported you” or “I accidentally reported your account” scam—has been coming and going since initial reports of it emerged in late 2018. To date, it has no other target apart from Steam users.
Report any Steam accounts involved in the scam. If a friend's account is involved their account is likely stolen. Your report will help Steam identify and lock down the stolen account until its owner recovers it. Reporting any external chat, voice, or email accounts involved in the scam.
If someone did report your account falsely, you can rest assured that Steam disregards false reports. Anyone claiming to be a Valve employee, Steam Support representative, or asking to verify your items for an investigation should be immediately reported.

10 lis 2019 · You are actually demonstrating why the scam works: you are expecting your report to have an immediate effect. That's not how support should work; they need to look at things before taking action. Also, keep in mind that those accounts are most likely hijacked.
