A visit here can be quite pricey. Regular tour is $40/person, plus a $7 charge for parking/vehicle. A good deal is getting 50% off if you are an AZA member but you have to call to get the discount. The Wilds is way off the beaten path, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get there.

Ohio’s first wildlife area, The Theodore Roosevelt Game Preserve, was established in 1922 under the leadership of Ohio Governor Harry L. Davis. Its aim was to reestablish wildlife by creating a game and reforestation preserve on 15,000 acres of land, purchased using funds collected from hunting license fees.
