Het pand stond vroeger bekend als Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam, maar sinds de fusie met Toneelgroep Amsterdam en een herijking naar internationale ambities, heten zowel de schouwburg als de toneelgroep Internationaal Theater Amsterdam.
