21 mar 2013 · lhd.CreatedDate is a DateTime field and is non-nullable. I want to display an empty string if the field is the minimum date (1/1/1900), but my CASE statement doesn't work; CreatedDate displays 1900-01-01 00:00:00.000 in my query when that value is in the database. I'm using SQL Server 2008 R2.
20 gru 2023 · You can't set a date field to an empty string (or zero length string ZLS as it is also known). You can set it to null though. If possible before you get too stuck into the design remove all the spaces and any special characters from your field names.

19 sty 2001 · Since, we cannot insert a blank value instead of 1900…, we will use a workaround so we can at least display a blank value instead of a value that shows the date from another era. We will write a simple query, which will convert 1900-01-01 into a meaningful value.

To do that, add 2 more fields in your query, with the text box names in them. [forms]! [Menu]. [txtStart] [forms]! [Menu]. [txtEnd] Access automatically adds a name for each field – Expr1 and Expr2.
17 lis 2015 · You can't get an empty string because you're returning the DATE value type from ISNULL. Per the docs, ISNULL. Returns the same type as check_expression. If a literal NULL is provided as check_expression, returns the datatype of the replacement_value.
For example, you can enter a date in a European format such as 28.11.2018, and have the table, form, or report display the value as 11/28/2018. The custom format that you select will not affect how the data is entered or how Access stores that data.
