6 gru 2015 · The column [PAYOFF DATE] has some blank values and some values in mm/dd/yy format. I have to replace '/' with '-' and return the date as yyyy-mm-dd. The below query is doing it. The problem is that for all blank values, I am getting results as 1900-01-01.
17 lis 2015 · You can't get an empty string because you're returning the DATE value type from ISNULL. Per the docs, ISNULL. Returns the same type as check_expression. If a literal NULL is provided as check_expression, returns the datatype of the replacement_value.
19 sty 2001 · The solution is in-fact a workaround or a quick fix than a total solution, since a blank date can be either a NULL or 1900-01-01. However, converting the date into a string does relieve us from showing irrelevant data to our clients.
19 maj 2021 · Due to this structure of the NULL values, it is not possible to use traditional comparison (=, <, > and <>) operators in the queries. As a matter of fact, in the SQL Standards using the WHERE clause as the below will lead to return empty result sets.
