18 sie 2011 · To those who understand the inner workings of Springfield XD's, I'd like to ask you guys how the various safety features work. First off, as far as I know, there are 4 different "safety" features: 1) trigger safety, 2) grip safety, 3) firing-pin block 4) out-of-battery safety.
Striker Status Indicator. Your XD® firearm has a cocking indicator in the rear of the slide (Figure 16-1). When the firearm is cocked, the pin will protrude out of the rear of the slide (Figure 16-2). (The cocking indicator does not always mean that the firearm is loaded).
• Never rely on a firearm’s “safety features” to protect you from unsafe firearm handling. 12 lip 2014 · What I did to keep the disconector pin in place was to put a match head size dab of "Duct Seal" on the pin so it would keep. I did this with the safety spring pin also so I could get that grip safety arm and the spring in the proper place.
